Privacy Policy
1. Single purpose
Product Alert Watcher helps you monitor eBay listing, search, or category URLs that you choose, using your existing eBay sign-in in Chrome, detect newly appearing items, store watch rules and matches locally in your browser, and show desktop notifications. The extension does not upload your watches, matches, or eBay session data to MKSOL TECH servers.
2. Information we access
Depending on how you use the extension, it may access:
- eBay session cookies (via Chrome’s cookie API) so requests to eBay can use the account you already signed into on ebay.com or related regional domains.
- eBay page content returned when the extension fetches the watch URLs you saved (listing cards, titles, prices, images, item links).
- User-provided data such as watch names, URLs, poll intervals, and UI settings.
- Local match history (new products found) used for the in-extension product list, dashboard charts, and toast notifications.
The extension does not collect your eBay password. It does not create an MKSOL TECH account for this product.
3. How we use information
- To poll your saved eBay URLs on the schedule you configure.
- To compare newly seen listings against a local baseline and detect new products.
- To enrich sparse listing details by loading the related eBay item page when needed.
- To show Chrome / OS notifications and in-app toast alerts (including optional sound).
- To display dashboards, watches, and product listings inside the extension UI.
4. Storage and retention
Watches, matches, notification read state, and related settings are stored in
chrome.storage.local on your device. Data remains until you delete a watch,
clear matches, clear extension storage, or uninstall the extension.
5. Sharing and sale of data
We do not sell your personal data. We do not use extension data for advertising. We do not transfer watches, matches, or cookies to MKSOL TECH or other third parties for analytics, resale, or unrelated services.
Network requests made by the extension go to eBay domains you are already using (for example ebay.com and related marketplaces) as part of checking your saved URLs. Those requests are subject to eBay’s own privacy policy and terms.
6. Permissions explanation

7. Security
Requests to eBay use HTTPS. The extension is designed so your eBay session stays in the browser and is not sent to our servers. You are responsible for keeping your device and Chrome profile secure.
8. Chrome Web Store Limited Use
The use of information received from Chrome APIs and from eBay pages accessed through this extension will adhere to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Data is used only to provide the single purpose described above.
9. Children’s privacy
This product is intended for adults who use eBay accounts. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from children.
10. Your choices
- Pause or delete watches at any time in the extension.
- Clear product matches from the Product listing screen.
- Revoke access by uninstalling the extension or signing out of eBay in Chrome.
- Disable notifications in Chrome or your operating system settings.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when the product or legal requirements change. The “Effective date” at the top will be revised when we publish changes. Continued use after updates means you accept the revised policy.
